Lucas Fuica

I’m  Lucas Fuica, an Argentine filmmaker raised in Spain.

I studied Cinematography in the United States, and soon realized that to better understand stories, I needed to approach them from different angles. That’s why I also pursued studies in Dramatic Arts.

I’ve had the fortune of working closely with Oliver Stone for over 15 years.

Along the way, I’ve collaborated with directors like Emir Kusturica, Spike Lee, and David Trueba.

For more than 25 years, I’ve traveled the world with a camera, filming historical figures like Putin, Maradona, Lula, Hugo Chávez, and many more.

I’ve had the privilege of doing so alongside cinematographers such as Bob Richardson, Rodrigo Prieto, Dante Spinotti, Jeff Cronenweth, Anthony Dod Mantle, and Álex Catalán.

Each project is a unique story and a different experience—which continues to transform me. The only constant—the one thing that never changes—is the excitement and passion with which I dive into it.
